Desert Apparition

A nighttime desert scene, rife with the ghostly entities that haunt such lonely places. This painting was partly inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s History of the Necronomicon, an account of the “Mad Arab” Abdul Alhazred, who spent years of solitude in the Arabian Desert composing his dreaded masterpiece.
