The Title of this painting is derived from lyrics in the song “Pins and Needles” by The Birthday Massacre. The white, ghostly, drippy figures in the upper left area and the spikey cluster to the right and center both convey a sense of spooky vigilance as they rise from the greenish, foggy ground.
